Simple & Stress-Free Process

Working with feral cats presents unique challenges. We’ve designed our program to be as straightforward as possible:

No Pre-Exam Required: Unlike owned cats, feral cats do not need a preliminary examination before surgery day, making the process easier for both you and the cat.

Scheduling Surgery

Step 1: Trap the Cat: Please use a humane trap to safely capture the feral cat.

Step 2: Call for Availability:

  • If trapped during business hours: Call the afternoon before your desired surgery date to check availability at either of our locations
  • If trapped after hours: Call before 9:00 AM the following morning to check for same-day availability

Step 3: Drop-Off Cats must arrive at the hospital no later than 10:00 AM on surgery day.

Important Information

Ear Tipping:: All feral cats receive an ear tip during surgery. This universal symbol identifies them as spayed/neutered cats, preventing unnecessary re-trapping and helping colony caretakers monitor their cats.

Pain Management: Every cat receives Zorbium, an advanced pain medication that provides continuous comfort for 3 days post-surgery. This is essential for cats returning to outdoor life.

Quick Recovery: Feral cats typically recover quickly and can be released 24-48 hours after surgery, depending on weather conditions and individual recovery.

Supporting Our Community Cats

Whether you’re managing a colony, helping a neighborhood stray, or participating in TNR efforts, our feral cat program provides professional, affordable surgical services with the specialized care these cats need.
