Before Your Pet’s Procedure
- Read the Information: Please carefully read the surgical procedure information sheet provided to you. This sheet contains important details about the procedure and what to expect.
- Monitor Your Pet’s Health: If your pet is showing any signs of illness, please contact us as soon as possible. We may need to reschedule the procedure to ensure your pet’s safety.
- Check-in Time: Please arrive between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM on the morning of the procedure. If this time doesn’t work for you, please let us know in advance so we can make alternative arrangements.
- Morning Elimination: Allow extra time for your pet to go potty on the morning of the procedure.
- Check-in Process: Please allow 20-30 minutes for the check-in process. We will perform a pre-operative exam and review any findings with you. We will also answer any questions you may have and have you sign the necessary paperwork.
- Fasting:
- For dogs and cats, please withhold food after 7:00 PM the night before the procedure.
- Water can be offered up until the time of the procedure.
- Communication: Occasionally, we may need to contact you during the procedure. Please ensure you provide a reliable phone number where you or an authorized agent can be reached anytime before 2:00 PM on the day of the procedure.
