At Mercy Pet Hospital, we aim to provide high-quality care with a seamless scheduling and payment process. Below is everything you need to know about appointments, deposits, payment options, and policies to ensure a stress-free visit.
Scheduling an Appointment
We operate by appointment only to give each pet the dedicated attention they deserve.
- How to Book – Call our front desk or request an appointment online (when available).
- Emergency Cases – Call ahead for urgent needs. We will assist or direct you to emergency care as needed.
New Client Reservation Fee
To reduce missed appointments and ensure availability, new clients must pay a small reservation fee when booking their first visit. This fee is credited toward the cost of the exam.
Payment Options
We accept multiple payment methods for your convenience:
- Credit & Debit Cards – Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express
- CareCredit – Healthcare credit card with flexible financing (Apply Here)
- Scratchpay – Simple payment plans for pet care (Check Eligibility)
- Cash & Checks – Accepted with valid ID
- Zelle – Available for quick, secure digital payments
Full payment is due at the time of service. If you have questions about financing, our team is happy to assist.
Deposits & Surgery Scheduling
For surgery and dental procedures, a deposit is required at booking to hold the appointment.
- Remaining balance is due the morning of the procedure.
- Deposits are non-refundable, but we can reschedule if needed.
Because surgical slots are limited, deposits help prevent last-minute cancellations and ensure proper care for all patients.
Missed Appointment & Late Arrival Policy
To keep appointments on schedule:
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early for check-in and paperwork.
- Late arrivals (15+ minutes) may need to be rescheduled.
- Multiple missed appointments may limit your ability to book future visits.
- Need to cancel? Call us as soon as possible so we can accommodate other pets.
Making Your Visit Stress-Free
Before Your Visit
- Arrive early for a smooth check-in.
- Ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations—records are required for all services.
During Procedures
- Keep your phone handy so we can reach you if needed.
For Pets with Anxiety or Special Needs
- Let us know if your pet has fear, anxiety, or aggression—we’ll make accommodations to keep them comfortable.
Emergency & After-Hours Care
We are not a 24-hour hospital, but we will guide you in case of an emergency. For after-hours care, visit our Urgent Care page for recommended hospitals.
